SEEN/ARTS is a public arts initiative dedicated to expanding access to contemporary art through the urban landscape. In collaboration with local and international artists, we transform outdoor spaces into large-scale public canvases, creating open-air exhibitions that are free, accessible, and embedded in the heart of the city we love.
We believe art should exist beyond the walls of galleries and institutions, encountered on the streets, in neighborhoods, and in the everyday places where New Yorkers live, work, and move. By bringing ambitious contemporary work into public view, SEEN/ARTS creates opportunities for artists to reach new audiences while making the city itself part of the exhibition.
Our commitment to artists extends beyond the work we put on the walls. Through the SEEN/ARTS Fund, we provide micro-grants to NYC artists, offering direct support to the people whose ideas, perspectives, and creative practices continue to shape the cultural identity of our city.
Together, our exhibitions and artist fund create a platform for discovery, participation, and opportunity, connecting artists, communities, and public space in ways that make contemporary art more visible, more accessible, and more deeply woven into the life of New York City.
